Wir waren im Dezember 2019 auf Sansibar und bis heute ist uns auch vor allem dieses Event in Erinnerung geblieben. Direkt am Strand trafen wir Christina und Daniel zum Maasai Dinner. Wir durften den interessanten Geschichten und Erzählungen von Christina lauschen, Daniel beim singen und tanzen zuschauen und zusammen das hervorragende Abendessen kochen. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Abend, der viel zu schnell vorüber ging... Dieses Event ist ein absolutes muss am Strand von Pwani Mchangani!

Me and my wife decided to join this lovely couple, Kristine and Daniel, for a last dinner of our honeymoon on Zanzibar.
We really enjoyed every second spent with them, because they are simple amazing!
Kristine told us everything about Masai culture and meanwhile Daniel prepared (no kidding) best beef meat that i’ve ever ate!
We were sitting on a beach, talking, eating beef and watching full-moon. It was magical.
This dinner had just one defect, that we didn’t have more time to spend here, because our flight home.
I definitely recommend to visit The Masai Dinner!!
I would give you 10 stars if it’s possible!

Daniel und Christina sind ganz liebe Menschen, Sie Verliebten sich und lebten Jahre in einem Maasaidorf.. beide leben nun auf Sansibar.. mit der Kultur der Maasai .. sie erzählen aus ihrem Leben und Daniel der Maasai.. kocht .. singt und tanzt wie er es gelernt und lebt als Maasai. Wir haben zusammen gekocht. es war einfach phantastisch das Essen hat super geschmeckt..der Maasaitee von Daniel zubereitet einfach nur lecker.. wir haben viel erfahren über die Maasai und es war ein super toller Abend, wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt, wir empfehlen es jedem sie zu besuchen und in ihre Welt für ein paar Stunden einzusteigen , es lohnt sich

Wir hatten einfach auf einen netten Abend gehofft und Christina & Daniel haben ihn so so perfekt gemacht! Das wunderschön hergerichtete Zelt direkt am Strand hat uns direkt verzaubert, die vielen kleinen Details, die Geschichte der beiden, Daniels Leben, seine gute Laune, die Tänze und der Gesang, das wunderbare Essen und Christina’s Art zu erzählen - es hätte nicht schöner sein können! Ganz gewiss werden wir diesen Abend nie vergessen!

Wow, what can I say! From begin to end, both Christina and Daniel were welcoming, very attentive and gave us real insights into Massai life. We got dressed and I felt like the boss with the biggest and most amount of chains!
My gf was vegetarian, however she still joined in the meat ceremony (the beef was unreal) to sit with us outside on the beach, and Daniel created this wonderful dish for her for her main to go with the rest of the meal, which we think he should roll out as part of the experience as it was so tasty! Whilst we were waiting for some food, Christina would show us some of the equipment Massai use, and share their stories/experiences which were just amazing and fun to listen to.
At the end, we had Massai tea (which was very tasty) and Daniel showed us his dancing, jumping, and core strength! I tried to replicate but failed, however it was such a great laugh and very impressive!
Did not want the night to end!
Would highly recommend if you are in Zanzibar! Would rate more than 5 stars if possible! Not only were Christina and Daniel great hosts, we count them as great friends as the evening was such a joy! If you are ever back in Europe, please let us know! :)

Christina und Daniel verleihen uns einen sehr guten Einblick in das Leben eines massais.. Mit sehr viel Liebe und spass.. Tiefe Liebe verbindet das tiroler mädl mit dem massei.. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl und man sollte das Event auf keinem Fall verpassen. Sehr zum empfehlen bei vollmond❤️

Just amazing experience. Must visit when you are on Zanzibar.
One of a kind atmosphere, great traditional food prepared on fire
and interesting stories told by our beautiful hosts Christina and Daniel
in their house on the beach moved us for a while to Masai world.

Das war ein wundervoller und unvergesslicher Abend! Wir haben uns gefühlt als würden wir gute Freunde besuchen. Christina und Daniel sind ganz wundervolle, herzliche und aufgeschlossene Menschen. Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Sehr interessant für jeden, der bereit ist über den Tellerrand zu schauen. Man bekommt bei Daniel und Christina ein ehrlichen und überaus lehrreichen Einblick in eine fremde Kultur. Dieser Abend bietet viel mehr als nur die Koch- und Essgewohnheiten der Massai - die beiden sind offen für alle Fragen, die man zum Leben der Massai hat und beantworten diese geduldig. Unseren Horizont hat es definitiv erweitert. Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Erlebnis!!!

Mit viel Liebe zum Detail haben die beiden hier ein ganz besonderes Event geschaffen. Traditionelles leckeres Massaiessen und ein Abend mit vielen Erzählungen aus dem Massaialltag, machten dieses Event für uns unvergessen. In einer ungewöhnlich lockeren und sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre haben wir uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt. Essen war absolut Topp.
Wir wünschen euch beiden ganz viel Erfolg mit diesem Eventangebot.

Hello sesh.
Thank you for your interest! For availability and booking confirmation you will receive a private message!
The dinner starts at 18:30 and it takes around 3 hours. But the Maasai dinner is not only about food.
It's an evenging all about the Maasai culture! Our guests arrive and get dressed with Maasai clothes and handmade jewellery.
After we will have the starter : it's beef from the open fire grilled the traditional way like the Maasai do since thousands of years and we will join together the Maasai meat ceremony!
After the ceremony we will cook the main dish together on the open fire. Some guests like to help some like to relax... It's a very cozy beach Banda with a great view to the cooking fire as well as on the Indian Ocean. We will prepare a traditional Tanzanian dish , the main diary of the Maasai tribe, ugali. Plus another meat dish (Rosti - Special Maasai dish with beef meat) and a vegetable dish ( mboga mboga - the spinach of Tanzania) .
The main dish is followed by the delicious Maasai tea.
While we cook we talk about history and culture of the Maasai.
We show you handcrafts and jewellery, weapons and tools as well as dances, exercise tricks and the famous jumping.
Softdrinks are included aswell and the price is:
For 2 guests: 50€/55$ per person
And for 3-max 8 guests 40€/45$ per person
