I was at first not really keen on going. My daughter really wanted to go and so we went. This is one of the funniest plays I have seen. For people that love Alfred Hitchcock it is a must see. If you are a student, teacher or military take advantage of the $20 tickets. There is not a bad seat in the house. Bring Kleenex with you. You will need it.

Just took four 15-16 yr old young men to see this show, and we all loved it
This was a great introduction to NY theater for the two who hadn't been to NYC before
The actors were wonderful, highly recommend seeing this play

Very well done by only 4 actors. Must for Alfred Hitchcock fans. It's funny and the laughs keep on coming.
Small theater and all seats are good but may want to avoid side ones. Tickets can be purchased for $39 on certain days so worth checking out. Very enjoyable activity at that price.

What a creative, talented group of actors. A great time out if you're looking for a show that entertains and won't break the budget. If you're a Hitchcock fan, or just like offbeat theatre, you'll have a blast.

The small, intimate Union Square heatre is the setting for this show. It was surprisingly fun and the actors very talented. It was a relaxed and entertaining time. Would definitely recommend the show and, although it is an older theatre, it's charming and I wouldn't hesitate to see something else here. This show though was worth the time.

This week in NYC I saw 3 days. This was the most epic one.
I saw some broadway and off broadway and small productions.
But this one is indeed the best.
How the actors change from one character to another and how smooth and fast they are. I loved it and i would lick to see it over and over again.

Absolutely loved the play. Bought tickets using the Today's Tix app for $45/ea - and the seats were fantastic. Can't recommend this play enough. We get tired of paying ridiculously high prices for broadway tickets...so this was a great surprise for our family.

We bought discounted tickets to the play 39 Steps, a hilarious adaptation of Hitchcock's movie by the same name. The entire cast consists of three men, and woman, and they play an enormous number of roles, with quick, on-stage costume changes. My wife and I laughed hysterically for the entire 100 minute performance!
The humor is a cross between Monty Python and, well, I don't know what. The dialogue is snappy, the visual and non-verbal humor is as funny as the dialogue. When you are seated, you are given a foam ball to wear on your nose which, by the way, has nothing to do with the play!
So I don't spoil it for you, I'll just give you two examples of the hilarity. Two of them male actors play a man and his wife (yep, the man in drag). During the course of the skit, the two men switch who is the husband and who is the wife by ducking into a packing case to make a not-to-subtle but very clever onstage switch. The other scene was two of the men, rotating three characters each by rapid-fire switching their hats. How they keep track of which character they are playing was amazing to me!
If you have a sense of humor, see this play. If you don't have a sense of humor, see this play so perhaps you can develop one!
