This beautiful church stands proud over the market square in St Keverne just across the place from the hotel we were staying in. Unfortunately it was closed while we were there but the back of the church offers some amazing views. Lovely architecture too

Worth a visit, disappointed the church wasn't open unlike several others we visited in the area. Nothing prepares you for the view as you walk around the rear of the church ... I won't spoil it by describing it. Have a look at the communal grave of the shipwreak crew of the SS Mohegan and google it ... so sad

We stopped to have a look while waiting for something to eat at then near by Three Tuns. The church wasn’t open but the view from the rear of the church was stunning. The grave yard had been well looked after.

Such an amazing church, steeped in so much history, so peaceful there and was surprised how old the headstones were there and so sad to see the infant mortality rate.

Whether or not your faith is C of E, St Keverne church should be on you visit list. It is a friendly church and is at the heart of the village. You can park in the square by the church’s entrance and there are a few steps up to the entrance. I have attended funerals and weddings but yesterday it was just popping in while I was passing. It was cool and peaceful. No one else around. I love the quiet that an empty church offers, it is calming in a busy life.
If you do visit, don’t miss the views from the churchyard out over Falmouth Harbour whilst studying the names and dates on the gravestones. Generations of the local families once again together.

Visited here 26th March, 2019 with wife and daughter to conduct family tree/heritage research in graveyard. Whilst inside this lovely church, we were invited for a cup of tea by the ladies who help to look after it who helped with our research - very kind, welcoming folk, made our holiday.

I visited with my sister this weekend to wander round the very peaceful churchyard, finding family graves. It is always spiritual to see the church, and the views from the churchyard are wonderful, over the fields at the back of the building to the sea beyond.

Lovely village church in the corner of the square. We wanted to visit as we had read it contained lots of sailors graves, I am not sure we found this, but it was a lovely churchyard and inside the church was calm and peaceful where you could light a candle.

Having read in a tourist guide book of Cornwall, that St Keverne churchyard was an interesting place to visit because of its location and the interesting grave stones, we decided to visit whilst staying in the Lizard. Its a beautiful peaceful place with lovely views out to sea. We wandered round looking for head stones of poor souls lost at sea and found quite a few. Headstones were much more interesting in the old days, giving information about where people lived and where they died.

Staying in St Keverne for the week we thought we would visit the local church.
To our surprise it was open to visitors even though no one was in attendance.
For a village church we found it quite large and very interesting.
A massive grave yard housing many from a ship wreckage in the area
