I enjoyed spending the day with Pedro. He picked me up from the hotel, took me first to the Fantasticable and sledding. Then we had an amazing lunch, and after that went for the winery tour + tasting.
Pedro is a fantastic host, he's really enthusiastic of his home region and wine. I loved spending time with him and hearing lots of interesting details of life in the region and especially vinho verde.
I can really recommend this tour, and Pedro!

If you want a day you won’t forget - enjoy a full day tour with Pedro Madeira in the Duro Valley! He picked us up at our hotel at 9am, he stopped at a train station to show us some beautiful tile art work that showed the history of wine. Then we went on a boat ride down the river for an hour next we went to a small vineyard with amazing wines, then to another small vineyard for lunch at the owners pool - the owner is an amazing chef! The wines were incredible!! I felt like we were a guest in their home!! Then a 3rd vineyard for more amazing ports and wines! We stopped at some of the most beautiful scenic spots for photos and got up close with a cork tree!! It was Pedro’s knowledge of all things Portugal that really made the trip!! If you ever have the opportunity to go to Portugal- ask Pedro if he is a guide in that area - I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

Danke an Pedro für den tollen und unvergesslichen Ausflug. Wir wurden morgens pünktlich von unserem Hotel abgeholt und erhielten bereits während der Autofahrt einige interessante Informationen über Porto und die Region. Wir hatten das Glück, an der Tour als Paar allein teilzunehmen während zur Sommerzeit sicher mit mehr Andrang Tu rechnen ist. Daher war es für uns eine sehr private Atmosphäre. Nach einer Stunde erreichten wir den Adventure Park und nach einer Tasse Kaffee ging es zur Zipline. Allein das war unvergesslich und atemberaubend. Ich fühlte mich sehr sicher und gut aufgehoben. Danach wurden wir zur Rodelbahn gebracht - auch das war wunderbares Erlebnis. Wahnsinn! Wir erhielten dann ein sehr leckeres Mittagessen in einem nahegelegenen Restaurant - es war ein Genuss! Ebenso lecker war die Weinverköstigung in einem nahegelegenen Weingut. Pedro hat uns erklärt, dass hier traditionell produziert wird und besonders viel „Liebe“ reingesteckt wird. Das hat man auch geschmeckt. Ein wenig angetrunken wurden wir dann sicher und voller Eindrücke zum Hotel gebracht.
Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich für die Tour und die vielen persönlichen Eindrücke, die uns Pedro gegeben hat. Der Preis ist völlig angemessen für die vielen einzigartigen Momente, die wir sehr empfehlen können!

We were lucky to enjoy the tour alone as a couple, during the summer time you can expect more crowds, like 8 persons. So it was a very private atmosphere for us.
After an hour we reached the Adventure Park and a cup of coffee, we went to the zipline. That was unforgettable and breathtaking. I felt very safe and in good hands. Then we were taken to the toboggan run - that was also a wonderful experience. Craziness!
Then we got a very tasty lunch at a nearby restaurant - it was a treat!
The wine tasting at a nearby winery was just as delicious. Pedro explained to us that production is traditional here and made with a lot of "love" - You could taste that too. :)
A little tipsy we were then taken to the hotel safely and full of impressions. Thank you very much for the tour and the many personal impressions that Pedro gave us. The price is totally reasonable for the many unique moments that we highly recommend!

Pedro led us on a number of walks from our cruise - all of which were great - fabulous sceney, lovely weather, interesting walks with lovely views. He coped admirably with a very mixed ability group. He was a really knowledgable, kind and patient guide who was happy to share his enthusiasm and passion for the Douro region, its history and culture and its port wines. Not to forget his mum's lovely cake and wine!! He helped to make our holiday really memorable - wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Our holiday was essentially a cruise along the Douro river with a number of walks to be untaken at various points. Pedro had organised the walks, which were varied in nature, and included taking in a museum, a number of wine/port tastings and also fine views in the countryside.
We found Pedro to be very knowledgeable, and generous with his time, as he kept us abreast of all the topics that came up during the various walks.
We wouldn't hesitate to use Pedros services again.

What an incredible experience - we would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience the beautiful Douro Valley.
We’ve traveled around the world and Pedro is by far the best guide we’ve ever had. He is a great communicator and plans the day around smaller, more intimate wineries where you feel like family! Pedro will also customize the experience depending on if you want to try more ports or table wines and includes little surprises throughout the day that make it feel so special.
The day started with a early pick-up at our hotel (we were staying in the Douro Valley but you can also get picked up from Porto). We first drove to a lovely viewpoint where we could see the entire Douro Valley and then to our first winery. From there, we had the most delicious lunch at another family owned winery where we also drank some of their special reserve wines. We had time for one more quick stop at another wine for some port wines before hopping on the boat cruise. After a full day, we were dropped back off at our hotel in time to relax before dinner.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better day in the Douro Valley with Pedro. We highly recommend this trip!

Awesome tour! We’ve done wine tours like this all over the world and this was one of the best. Our guide Pedro was knowledgeable & considerate. He gave us so much useful info but also allowed us plenty of time to just relax & enjoy. Pedro also did a great job booking us tastings at 2 fantastic wineries and a lovely local restaurant on very last-minute notice (our tour also included the public river boat tour & a couple of sightseeing stops). Very highly recommend!

We just spent two weeks in Portugal with 4 siblings and their spouses, traveling the country from North to South, and our Douro tour with wine tasting was by consensus the best activity of an amazing two weeks. Our guide, Paulo, was exceptional- outgoing, passionate about the region, informative, and delightful to spend the day with. We visited three different wineries, each unique, with a delicious home-cooked lunch at the second stop. We learned all about the Douro region, the different varieties of wine and port produced, and saw some spectacular vistas. The day was capped off by a relaxing 90 minute boat trip on the Douro, replete with champagne. Can’t recommend highly enough! 10+++

Amazing day touring the wine region with our guide Paulo who was fantastic. He has his own vineyard and we learned so much from him. We thought the price expensive at first but having completed the tour feel it was worth every penny 😊 we were picked up at 9am and returned at 8pm in a private mini bus for our group of four.
The tour included two winery tastings , a superb three course lunch at a local vineyard with wine a lovely boat trip also with a great bottle of Pauli’s own wine!!
Although the journey from Porto to the Douro valley took appx one hour Paulo was a fountain of interesting information which made it so special.
If you have the time to do this tour we highly recommend it

Paulo heeft ons als een "trotse vader van de vallei" begeleid langs alle mooie plekjes en we hebben heerlijke wijnen geproefd. Er ontbrak werkelijk waar niks tijdens deze reis. We hebben gelachen, teveel gegeten, en vooral kennis gemaakt met het prachtige gebied dat naast Porto is gelegen. Zijn auto was gloednieuw, en hij is super netjes. Bij Paulo ben je in goede handen. Een ervaring om niet snel te vergeten!
