Walk in the picturesque city of Latvia | Cesis
Cesis is a city in the north-east of Latvia. It is known for its medieval castle, built in the 13th century and previously undergone numerous rebuildings. In Cesis Castle, wall paintings, underground and towers that open in the vicinity have been preserved. The castle park has an old brewery, a cemetery and the Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration. The castle also houses the Museum of History and Art, which occupies the 18th-century manor building.
