This is a great place to take your grandchildren to feed the ducks. The playground is good as well. The grounds are lovely to walk around ,well manicured grounds
The entrance is free and parking as well. There is a cafe in the grounds and reasonably priced

Stunning Camelia Gardens
nov de 2018 • A sós
Kareena Park itself seems to be the heavily forested area between Laguna St and the water. There is a paved path through here and some rougher paths that get close to the water. However, the jewel of this area is the E.G. Waterhouse National Camelia Gardens - enter from the car parks on President Ave or Kareena Rd. These gardens are an amazing find in the suburbs. A very dense botanic gardens-style collection of plants and flowers with quiet paths winding through them and streams rushing down the hill to the duck pond - and there were huge numbers of ducks all over the park. There are a few lawns for picnics and a rose garden, plus a teahouse and a couple of playgrounds (but no dogs or ball games allowed). This is a stunning council-run garden and a must-see if you happen to be in this part of town. Pity it closes at 4pm.

A slice of tranquility in suburban Sydney.

Also known as the Camellia Gardens. A small park on President Ave that drops down to Yowie Bay. Spring is a great time to visit when the roses, camellias flowering annuals and perennials are in flower. At other times it is a haven from suburbia. Even with it being on busy President Ave the lush greenery and walks within the park soon mask suburbia. Parking is free and plentiful either at the top entrance on President Ave or at the bottom entrance off Kareena Rd. There is a children's playground and a small tea rooms within the park. There are sunny open lawn areas for picnics as well as a duck pond with gazebo and an area of trees and lush gardens through which a small stream flows. Throughout the park there are benches you can sit and relax on and many pathways meander through the park. There are maps of the park located along the paths. You also get views of the stunning Yowie Bay which is esp picturesque when the tide is in. Parts of the park are able to be accessed easily by those who have disabilities.
