My family and I will be in Lisbon In January 1 (New Years Day). Is it possible to do a bike tour on that day? What is the cost?
Thanks,
Rich
Hi Rich,
Thank you for your interest in our Lisbon Bike Tour.
It is possible to do the Lisbon Bike Tour on Monday, January 1st. Below is some information about our tour.
LISBON BIKE TOUR
The Lisbon Bike Tour is a very easy tour since it does not have any climb, always descending and flat. We will start in the top of Parque Eduardo VII, go through downtown of Lisbon and all the way to Belém.
It will last about 4 hours. Usually, we make a short stop in downtown where we offer a special and typical drink and another stop in an old café, half way through, where we offer you another specialty of Portugal, this time a pastry. This stop is also a chance to our guests use the restroom or have another drink (drinks at this café are not included). These 4 hours for about 10 kms means a slow and panoramic pace. We stop in the interesting points of town and tell you about what’s around. It is the best way to get to know Lisbon.
We will finish in Belém area, the other historical area of Lisbon apart from the downtown one. In Belém, after we finish, you will be on your own. We suggest that you have a snack for lunch (we suggest a couple of nice places) and that you visit this area with its fine monuments in the afternoon.
Within a short walking distance at the end of the bike tour, there are public transportation options available (bus, tram and train) or taxi to return you to your needed area of Lisbon. All of the options require a metro card.
You can see some pictures at our facebook.
The starting time is at 9.30 a.m.
The price for an adult is 32,50 euros and for children up to 16 years old is 15,00 euros. It includes:
o Guided tour
o Bicycle
o Helmet
o Special pastry
o Special drink
o Water bottle
o Insurance
o 23% VAT
Payment is in cash at the end of the tour or advanced, through bank transfer or with credit card through pay pal.
The meeting point is in the Alameda Cardeal Cerejeira in the top of Park Eduard VII. You can check in the map of our website
o You can use the subway blue line and exit in Parque station.
o Walk west (behind the station exit) into the Park Eduard VII.
o Then, where you have a wide view down and up, just walk up to the park where our meeting point is.
o We will be there with the bikes.
Would you like to make a reservation?
If you do, please, send us:
· the other person’s first name so we can activate the insurance;
· your heights so we can pick the best bike sizes;
If you have some more days in Lisbon and you like nature you ought consider our 1 day tours. Just a step away from Lisbon, Sintra and Arrábida Natural Parks offers great outdoors potential and, our tours take you to places otherwise difficult to find or access.
If you have some more days in Portugal you ought consider our special guesthouse in the country, near World Heritage Évora, where you would have a great southern Portugal experience.
If you have any more enquiries, please, feel free to contact us.
Many thanks,
My best regards
Miguel Catarino Doria
