Its all a matter of taste you see.
jan de 2020
In recent years, beer has come of age. Gone are the days of draught best bitter and do you remember `mild', often topped up from the drips tray!. We were told it was great beer and with no choice. So despite the taste and to be one of the crowd, we tried it, winced and then said how good it was because everyone else said the same. In reality, much of it was damn awful, and it’s no wonder pubs closed by the droves in the 90's, until eventually someone had a light bulb idea. How about boycotting the big breweries who had fooled us for so long, brewing ales which actually taste nice, and so it came to pass, micro breweries popped up everywhere and craft ale was born. But still there was a problem, some breweries continued to brew rubbish ale, but gave them trendy names (normally associated with animals for some reason – thinking about it, maybe I know why?), colourful labels and high than average abv. in the hope that we would continue to be fooled. Nowadays folk are more discerning, paying closer attention to taste than snazzy labels and daft names. So if you want to try great tasting beer without the psychedelic labels, animal names (no badgers or squirrels here) and awful aftertaste, come along to Malt, and try some of the best tasting beers around. Don’t just take my word for it, sample the varieties on offer and you will see for yourself.

High quality beers
dez de 2019
Malt The Brewery are a very high quality producer of craft beers.
Their range is expanding but the quality is consistent.
Nick and Jenny are passionate about their products, very helpful and very nice to deal with.
Eager to be an integrated member of their community.
Would highly recommend.

Lovely tour and tasting

Look out for the tours - there’s only one a month but well worth booking. The beer is first rate and the tour was really informative. If you aren’t able to make a tour still worth popping in for a pint 🙂.

Wonderful Beer

Invited here by a friend a while ago. Beer is natural, fresh and tastes great. Very helpful staff will always go out of their way to help you, explain the types of beer and even offer you free samples.
I would recommend the tour, the free beer samples nearly pays for it. Have just become a member for ‘maltasters’ evenings and discounted beer.
Can’t rate highly enough.

One of the nicest beers I've ever tasted...
jul de 2019 • Amigos
…. and I've sampled a few in my time! This was in fact at Waddesdon's Summer festival where Malt The Brewery had a stall offering a selection of their home brewed beverages. A few friends and myself decided to try their Summer Daze ale, and what a beautifully refreshing pint it was. Not too strong or hoppy, but 4% of cool, fruity, thirst-quenching deliciousness (!) Of course it would have been rude to change after our first pint, so several more of the same were equally well enjoyed sitting in the summer sun. So glad we found this brewery, and we hope to plan a visit there soon.

Quality quaffage
abr de 2019 • Amigos
A friend and I visited for a planned tour at the very end of April 2019. I had been entirely unaware of their existence previously.
Starting with (4 x ½ pint) tasters (genius), we moved on to a very interesting, informal, illuminating and obviously passionate tour of the brewing floor with Nick. All this followed by a pint of personal choice and a nice chat. When it was discovered that i was driving i was furnished with a bottle of my choice rather than drinking a pint there and then, and a branded Malt pint glass to sup it from.
We left feeling good about the place, the owners and naturally, the beer. The tap room is cosy, and there are also a variety of spirits (loadsa gin!) and things like chutneys to be had. As an aside, you can usually find them every 2nd Saturday at the Food Fair/Artisan Market in Waddesdon Manor car park (i have recently discovered after cycling past to connect to the Greenway). Did i mention really tasty beer yet?

Great brewery tour!
nov de 2018 • Amigos
Spent a lovely couple of hours sampling 5 beers and learning all about the brewery and how the beer is brewed. All the beers sampled were excellent. I have been a customer for a few years now but until now hadn't done the tour. The head brewer is a really entertaining and knowledgeable bloke who has pitched this tour on the right level. His passion for his art are clear to see. This passion has created one of best breweries in the country producing award winning beers. The tour finished off with a pint of your choice in the lovely tasting bar and a complimentary pint glass to take home. Oh and a 10% discount in the shop. You really need to go on this tour!

Beer Lovers Enjoy!
out de 2018 • Amigos
Visited as part of a small group one evening. The evening went really well and we all enjoyed the experience.

Malt has a story to tell and it is better hearing from Nick and Jenny, the owners and founders of Malt the Brewery. A small enterprise that has been a labour of love producing excellent beers. You can drop in for a quick visit and sample the range of beers or go on a tour and learn about the challenges faced and how they were overcome.

Very informal and relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Look them up on the www for opening times etc. Plus there's the beer; ahh yes the beer. And even if you are not a beer lover, it's an interesting local enterprise and and a nice excursion if you are visiting near by High Wycombe or the Amersham area.
