I am sorry you felt slightly disappointed with some price increases to the ride tokens and food - I do hope I can assure you of our best intentions and reasoning for our pricing structure. Having held the price of our fairground tokens for over 15 years, we recently made the difficult decision last year to introduce a long overdue price increase. This decision was not taken lightly, especially in the current economic climate, but again, due to the ongoing rise in electricity costs, staff costs as well as general operating costs we have no other choice. This is also true of our food costs, but we do our best to review our menus on a regular basis and keep prices in line with other attractions. Whilst we understand that this will have an impact on our visitors, we also have a duty of care to be able to run the business effectively for both our staff and all the animals we care for. Rides are just one aspect of what we have to offer here and of course you can visit the attraction and enjoy the farm, zoo and numerous indoor and outdoor play areas all included in the entrance price. We hope the trial of a fixed price wristband will be welcome for those visitors that do wish to access the fairground whilst allowing them to ride all day on a fixed budget. The increase in price of individual tokens means our unlimited wristband offers excellent value for money. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your day with us and were so impressed with how much there is to see and do and how close you can get to our animals. As part of our commitment to be a sustainable business, we no longer hand out paper maps but we do have large map signs located throughout the park to assist guests. We also have large signs near the park and fair entrances informing guests about our ride wristbands - as well as on site on toilet door posters, and on our TV screens, etc. I'm sorry you missed these. I'm also sorry you were served the wrong meal at the Burger Bar restaurant - should you have mentioned this to one of the servers they would have rectified this for you straight away. I will also of course pass this info onto our Catering Managers for review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed our fairground - all of our rides are traditional vintage fairground rides that have been lovingly restored - and we try to keep the magic of yester-year alive for our guests to enjoy. I'm sorry your son was not feeling too well during your day with us and do hope he is feeling much better now? Thank you for your review although naturally I'm disappointed that you felt only able to rate us as a three star attraction. I'm sure you can appreciate that your feedback is in stark contrast to most other reviews that praise how much there is to see and do on a day out with us. I'm saddened that your review seems solely based on our food offering rather than on the attractions itself such as our award winning zoo, impressive farm, array of play areas or our Vintage Fairground - none of which have been mentioned. We always do our best to offer a variety of food options and understand that many guests have particular dietary requirements - so we do have vegetarian and vegan options available as well as some gluten and dairy free options. I'm sure you can appreciate that we review our menus on a regular basis and have to consider how quickly meals can be turned around so guests can continue enjoying their day, as well as appealing to the majority of our guests requirements. Naturally the choice is a bit more limited in say the Burger Bar restaurant - but if you went to our Hungry Farmer sit down restaurant for example we have vegan burgers and chilli, vegetarian sweet and sour and bao buns as well as gluten free Bolognese and salad options amongst others. Some of these options are also dairy free. Had you spoken to a member of our catering team at the time, they would have happily gone through the options with you and shown you a copy of our allergen information which is available at each of our outlets. We appreciate how difficult it can be when several dietary needs need to be considered and that choices can become more limited as a result - but we do everything we can to assist our guests and advise as best we can.
