Can't fault the tour what so ever and was greeted by Anna, who was absolutely brilliant and driver Paul just before 8.40 in Bugibba before picking up the rest of the group along the way. The history told and the places visited on the itinerary went into great detail and a 3 course lunch in a restaurant in Mdina. I would highly recommend this tour and hope you'll get Anna because she'll tell you everything 😊

Would have liked to have spent more time in some of the sites. Did not enjoy being herded into the gift shops and would not do this tour again.

While the guide was very knowledgeable she spent a lot of time telling the group info. Maybe cut down the into smaller chunks. There wasn't enough time to do just the it all in.

The guide was friendly, helpful and informative. The tour was as described on line, a basic informative overview.

Highlights of Malta excellent tour and excellent guide, pickup was on time and we went in the most visited sites of Malta such as the Mosta Dome the one which bombed and it did not exploded, Mdina the silence city, Ta Qali the craft village, San Anton Garden, the guide was very good that I still remember the commentaries.

We did have a wonderful day and our guide was very informative, we walking through Mdina's narrow streets, Mosta Dolmen, San Anton Garden and Dingli Cliffs and it could be better if wasn't raining.

Picked up on time from hotel and driven to Valetta. Had to wait at least 25mins for remainder of party to arrive before we went to the 5D Malta experience which was excellent. Drove to Mosta and were allowed 20 mins to view the church and dome very good. Next should have been a craft village instead we were taken to a jewellery shop and a glass factory for the hard sell (what a waste of an hours time).On to the cliffs for a view OK nice view but it again took at least 3/4 of an hour. Next Lunch - what a joke, how poor can a meal get, again a complete waste of an hour and a half. Rabat and the catacombs 20 mins to look round (not enough) then a long walk to the silent City Mdina and a whistle stop walk around lasting about 20 mins. Then end of tour. If less time had been spent on waiting for others,'crafts', cliffs and lunch then we might have seen the 'Highlights of Malta', as it was the tour was a very poor 'taster' and grossly overpriced. However one must appreciate the guide who was excellent and very knowledgeable.

It’s a shame I have had to give the Highlights of Malta tour a rating of 1 because it should be 0. A terrible day from start to finish and certainly not worth €53. To begin the guide turned up 45 mins late, no apologies and stated the issue with was the bus company and providing school transportation therefore it wasn’t his problem! We were then taken to Valletta for the Malta 5D Experience, an experience it was, and not a good one. The film is dated and not worthy of the 25 min viewing, time would have been better spent getting out and visiting the places shown. In the cinema only the men’s and disabled toilet were in use both were unclean and foul smelling. Back to the bus and we set off to Mosta, on our arrival we were ushered into watch a short film about the church and the dome and ushered back out to the bus, I had time to take half a dozen photos of the dome. Entrance to the Mosta church was also €2, hardly breaking the back, however annoying that not all entrance costs were covered in the cost of the tour and this was not advised by our rep at point of sale and booking. After leaving Mosta we were told we wouldn’t be visiting the crafts village as per the itinerary, instead we were taken to 1 shop where we could purchase some jewellery if we desired! Next we traveled onto the Dinglie Cliffs, sadly the weather wasn’t in our favour and the visibility from the cliffs was nil, our guide still managed to stop the bus for 10 min to tell us about the views we couldn’t see ! The next stop was lunch in Rabat, by this point we had been on the bus for around 5 hours with 2 20 min stops for “sightseeing”. Lunch was in a small restaurant where the entire party of around 50 people had to sit at 2 lines of tables, it was reminiscent of classes in primary school being taken to the dining hall. On the menu was soup, a choice of beef olives or chicken and a scoop of ice cream to finish. The restaurant was even is kind enough to garnish my Mums chicken with a hair! Next up was a visit to St Paul’s Grotto, this was another charge of €5 and the guide told us we had 20 mins ! We then had a short walk to Mdina, I was looking forward to visiting the Silent City the most however I was sorely disappointed when we had a whistle stop tour lasting no longer than 30 mins all under the escort of our guide. Our Jet2 Rep, gave an excellent sales pitch, according to him this is a brilliant trip and their most popular. All in all a waste of a day of our holiday and a waste of €53.

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the tour yesterday. Unfortunately as you well could see the weather was terrible in Malta yesterday and it was flooding everywhere due to heavy rains. The bus got stuck and it was late everywhere due to heavy traffic because of the rain.
With regards to the toilets at the Malta 5D I will be personally talking to the Manager to fix the other toilets and also would be calling the restaurant to check about the meals of yesterday.
The rep was right it is the most popular tour that we have and I will be talking to the rep to make sure that he would explain to other clients that the entrances are extra.
I can assure you that we together with the guides and drivers always do our best to have a satisfied customer.

In retrospect there are far better ways of seeing Malta than Viator. The hop-on, hop-off bus would have made more sense. The tour was misleading from start to finish. The firm did not answer the phone at 8:30 AM when we were seeking confirmation. The tour was supposed to begin at 9:30 AM and we were supposed to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Indeed, most of the group was picked up and dropped off at their massive hotels, just outside Valletta. At the end of the tour we were just dumped at the Hotel Phoenicia, where we then had a 15-minute walk. We only found out that we had to show up at this 5D theater at 8:30 AM and we had to wait in the theater lobby for at least 45 minutes before the tour group itself showed up. The tour was supposed to take us to Ta Qali Crafts Village in Mdina but the guide told us it was too dusty there. We had to pay our own entrance way into the Mosta Dome. We were promised a free glass of wine with lunch but learned on the spot that we ourselves had to pay for all beverages, including water. When the tour reached Mdina, the guide-- one Paul Spederi-- did not even mention the cathedral, the main feature of the city, as we walked by. What was promised as an 8-hour tour might not even have been 7. There was no point to visiting the glass store. Had we been on our own we could have seen the Mosta dome as well Valletta's higher and lower Barakka gardens and taken a ferry to the naval museum.

All too brief stop at Mdina, brief stop at Mosta and a pleasant lunch accounted for about 75 pleasurable minutes. Doris, the guide, was good.

I thought taking punters to shops was a 3rd world thing.
Dingli, looking into the afternoon sun is dumb. All you see is haze.
At least an hour was wasted cat herding the customers.
A €21 7 day bus pass is incredibly good value in comparison.
Maybe suggesting it for the invalid and over 80s is reasonable.
For a fit and healthy 67yo it was poor.
